BAKER
25-36 hrs
$23 /hr

We’re seeking a responsible and reliable baker for primarily morning shifts. 

 

The ideal candidate offers

  • punctuality & appropriate sense of urgency

  • superior dexterity & skill in operating hot pans and product

  • thorough attention to detail and care for product quality

  • professionalism with colleagues

  • 2 yrs prior cafe/kitchen experience with capacity to adapt

  • math skills for understanding inventory counts & conversions

  • Strong communication skills​

Primary tasks include

  • use equipment including commercial kettle, ovens, gas range, dishwasher

  • boil, and bake bagels (approx 500-1500 bagels each bake)

  • meet baking  timelines and counts

  • as needed, process bagel dough

  • as available, produce other breads (challah, biscuits, etc.)

PREP COOK
25-36 hrs
$22 /hr​

​We’re seeking a responsible and reliable prep cook for production of house recipes to work morning and afternoon shifts. ​​

​​

The ideal candidate offers

  • punctuality & appropriate sense of urgency

  • superior skills in operating cutting tools quickly and safely: knives (chefs, paring, utility, bread, carving, butcher, boning), mandolin, deli slicer, meat grinder, etc.

  • thorough attention to detail and care for product quality

  • professionalism with colleagues

  • 2 yrs prior cafe/kitchen experience with capacity to adapt

  • applicable math skills with a clear understanding of cooking measurements & conversions

  • strong communication skills

 

Primary tasks include​

  • use equipment: commercial grade mixers, ovens, gas range, deep fryer, dishwasher, warming units, deli slicer

  • wash, chop, mix, sort, measure ingredients including dairy, meats, vegetables etc. 

  • prepare house products; preparations include soups & stocks, pickling, steaming, blanching, roasting, frying, and baking

  • prepare catering platters including various deli products

  • prepare bulk portions of 6-8 cream cheese flavors

PRoduction
15-25 hrs
$18 /hr​

We’re seeking a responsible and reliable candidate for daily bagel production for either morning or evening shifts.

 

The ideal candidate offers

  • thorough attention to detail and care for product quality

  • 1 yr prior cafe/kitchen experience with capacity to adapt

  • excellent time management, focus, and dependability

  • applicable math skills with a clear understanding of conversions

  • strong communication skills

 

Primary tasks include

  • Consistent and efficient bagel production for service & catering 

  • Use of  relevant equipment: commercial grade mixers, divider/rounder, knives

  • Portion, cut, and shape bagel dough in accordance with inventory requirements

  • Learn to build dough for production efficacy

  • Maintain flow of communication with Production Lead regarding progress and completion of bagel production responsibilities​
