Bagel Baker

Kettles (boils) & bakes bagels at the start of the day in our Roslindale kitchen, makes bagel starter doughs, cleaning duties

EMPLOYEES’ ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Available a minimum of 3-4 days: Wed-Sun 3am-11am. Must be reliable and punctual!

  2. Strong attention to detail, able to work closely in tandem with other bakers.

  3. Able to follow a recipe precisely, scale ingredients accurately, sensitivity to  the process of making dough.

  4. Must work cleanly, efficiently. Good time-management essential.

  5. Able to be on their feet for the duration of the shift, able to lift 50 lbs.

  6. Positive attitude; sense of responsibility for their work.

  7. Prior kitchen or bakery preferred, though willing to train right candidate.

Assistant Sweets Baker

OVERVIEW: Prepare and bake sweets (muffins, bars, cookies) in small batches at our Roslindale kitchen to fulfill the needs of our Cafe in JP, shared cleaning duties

EMPLOYEES’ ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Available at least 4 days: Wed-Sun 4am-12pm. Must be reliable and punctual!

  2. Able to follow a recipe precisely.

  3. Must work cleanly, efficiently, and independently (good time-management essential).

  4. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, sense of responsibility for their work. Interest and enthusiasm for baking.

  5. Able to be on their feet for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

  6. Prior kitchen or bakery experience a plus, though willing to train right candidate.

Bagel Production Staff

Cuts, weighs, and shapes dough to make bagels at our Roslindale kitchen, shared prep and cleaning duties

EMPLOYEES’ ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS (will train the right candidate)

  1. Available a minimum of 2-3 days per week: MON/WED/FRI 3pm- 7pm, and SAT 2pm -6pm

  2. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, sense of responsibility for their work. Interest and enthusiasm for baking.

  3. Able to be on their feet for the duration of the shift.

  4. Clean, hygienic, organized, and punctual.

  5. Bonus: prior kitchen or bakery experience, ServSafe certified, able to lift 50 lbs
